Rick Hansen is another Canadian hero, but you may not know about him. He was inspired by his good friend, Terry Fox, to create his own epic marathon and show the world the potential of disabled people.

Now it is time for a number challenge that anyone can do at any age, although I especially recommend this challenge for grades 1 and 2. It is a fun reading and interactive guessing game, complete with number hints. It is very helpful for practicing odds and evens plus the terms greater than and less than.
Remember to select “view slide show” and don’t skip ahead until you have given everything a good read and proposed a possible solution! You can record your ideas in your math journal in order to keep track.
